Critical Houston Series

The Nationals are 2 games south of Houston, tied with the Marlins for the Wild Card.  They were just swept by the San Diego Pod Race, and swept by Atlanta before that.

 

Yes, it's only early August...but I'm going out on a limb and saying that if they can't win at least one game against the Astros...the Nats are officially out of the race this year.  Houston has everything going right, Washington has everything going wrong.  Loaiza pitched a great game last time up, but had no run support...just like his start before it.
