Five Minute Major for being dumbasses

Game on?

POSTED: 12:44 pm EDT July 13, 2005
NEW YORK -- The National Hockey League and NHL Players' Association have agreed in principle to a new collective bargaining agreement.

Let the record show that I for one am looking forward to getting back in the swing of things. Do a few franchises need to go? Sadly, yes, probably (Detroit leaps to mind...).

A lot of fans will have the same angry feeling that baseball fans had in '95, and with good reason. But the diehard puckheads will be back. In droves.

If the Wings go away, who will be around to kick the Av's around?

Hmm?

History suggests Dallas.

Part of what hurt so much about the strike was exactly THIS kind of talk...hard to pick on each other's team when all they do is play golf...

I still say there should be an EA Sports NHL 2006 game that has stuff like:

- on the golf course with Ziggy Palffy

- Making borscht on TV with Sergei Federov

- clubbing seals in Resolute, Nunavut with Roenick

- and so on
