Sooner or later, the Nats luck in these 1-run finishes was bound to run dry. Started with the Mets, and now the Phils. Tough road run.
Hopefully, three games against the Rockies at RFK will prove to be a good bounce-back. I STILL wonder if we have the pitching to sustain the luck that's been ours in the first half.
And as for the ChiSox...they just don't seem to have the bats. In first place by a freakin' mile...and some games, they couldn't buy a hit with a Walton Trust Fund. Should be in interesting autumn.
